Shades Collection Now Available at Target In Stores and Online

Program promotes use of reusable bottles and the importance of staying hydrated.

Westlake Village, Calif. (February 25, 2013) – Vapur has teamed up with Elkay, the world leader in stainless steel water stations, to create the Vapur Refill Station Program. The program is bringing Vapur Refill Stations to college and university campuses across the country to promote a healthy hydration message and make safe drinking water more accessible, portable and readily available.

Every year, billions of bottles of water are consumed globally and fewer than 20-percent will be recycled. With Vapur Refill Stations being placed in designated areas around participating campuses, the program promotes the importance of staying hydrated while encouraging students and teachers to use reusable bottles. Campuses rolling out the program include the University of California, Riverside, the California Institute of Technology, Illinois State University, Guilford College, University of California, Los Angeles and Southwestern College. (Jan., 2013) – Join Vapur®, designer and manufacturer of the innovative Anti-Bottle, at Outdoor Retailer Winter Market (ORWM) to hear polar adventurer, Eric Larsen, recount his Cycle South expedition, a first ever bicycle traverse of Antarctica to the Geographic South Pole. Jonathan Dorn, editor in chief at Backpacker Magazine, will interview Larsen in the Wenger booth #25001 at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24.

Event attendees are invited to enjoy beer, bring questions for Larsen and enter to win a snow bike and other prizes from event sponsors, including Vapur Element and the not-yet-released Vapur Eclipse Anti-Bottles.

Vapur sponsored Larsen on his attempt to complete the expedition. Having covered 175 miles, Larsen had to make the decision to turn around before he reached his goal as surface snow conditions prevented him from covering enough miles before his food and supplies ran out. While Larsen did not complete the expedition, the journey was still a success resulting in an Antarctic distance record for the longest bicycle journey in Antarctic history.

The seasoned backcountry ranger has dog-sledded in the Canadian arctic and summated Mt McKinley, among many other expeditions. He has been named an Outside Magazine Eco All Star.

Anna Levesque is a world-class whitewater kayaker and instructor dedicated to enhancing the lives of women through kayaking, yoga and travel through her company, Girls at Play. Anna has over 15 years of experience as an accomplished international kayaking competitor, instructor and guide, making her a leading expert in her field. She was a member of the Canadian Freestyle Kayak Team from 1999 to 2003 and earned a bronze medal at the Freestyle World Championships in 2001.
