The Opportunity Green Conference, Sept. 22 to the 24, was a great success! Vapur was the official water bottle of the event, which of course meant every attendee received a complementary Anti-Bottle in their Swag Bag!
Beyond seeing our Anti-Bottles in action, we also had a blast seeing the purpose of Opportunity Green come to life. This conference consisted of variety of companies from all different niches collaborating together over this three day period in hopes of creating a cleaner, greener world. We enjoyed hanging out with all of our eco-friendly companions at the conference, including our partners: 1% for the Planet and ColorWest!
Jason Carginan, Co-founder of Vapur, was a guest speaker during Opportunity Green’s Friday speaker session. During his presentation, Jason unveiled the three winning designs from the Thirst for Design Competition for the first time to a public audience. The attendees absolutely loved these new designs for the Artist Series of Anti-Bottles. Everyone, especially us, cannot wait for their release in 2011!

A special thanks goes out to Karen Solomon, Mike Flynn and their entire team of staff and volunteers for putting on this amazing event. On Jan. 12, 2010, Haiti was rocked by a 7.0-magnitude earthquake. Haiti, one of the poorest nations in the Western Hemisphere, has a population of over nine million. With this large disparity in wealth, compared to other countries, and a high density population, this massive quake caused a devastating amount of destruction.
Since January, volunteers from Calvary Community Church have made multiple trips, helping the Haitians build two reservoirs in the community of Lamothe, Haiti. Those reservoirs provide clean accessible drinking water to a community of over 7,000 people. This is a small yet vital step towards re-building the country. In order to fund future clean water projects in Haiti, efforts now turn to selling the Drops of Hope: Haiti Vapur Anti-Bottles. 100% OF THE PROCEEDS GO TO PROVIDE CLEAN WATER FOR HAITI. Water is the source of life, so Vapur and Calvary will work together to help bring new life back into this country torn apart by natural disaster.
Since the launch of the Drops of Hope: Haiti campaign on September 12, an outstanding $10,000 has already been made to help fund this project.

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., Sept. 9 /PRNewswire/ — Vapur Inc., makers of the VAPUR® Anti-Bottle ™, a foldable, flexible, reusable eco-friendly water bottle, is pleased to announce the winners of its “Thirst for Design” competition. The contest, facilitated by the online creative collaboration platform jovoto, invited artists from around the world to submit graphic designs to appear on Vapur’s new “Artist Series” of Anti-Bottles scheduled for release in 2011.
The Thirst for Design contest began in July with the goal of uncovering fresh designs for a series of limited-edition Anti-Bottles. During an eight-week run, nearly 300 artists from around the world submitted 1,000 designs to be selected for one of three limited-edition “Artist Series” bottles. The number of entrants and the quality of their work far exceeded our expectations.”
