Well, it was the first time the Vapur team exhibited at Dwell on Design and, in short, it won’t be the last! We were very impressed with all the exhibitors Dwell had to offer, including, our booth partner, Opportunity Green. We were amazed with Dwell’s commitment to sustainability and we’re definitely looking forward to developing our relationship further.
One of Team Vapur’s favorite parts of this event was seeing people’s excitement the first time they encounter the Anti-Bottle! Shouts of, “that’s brilliant” and “what a great idea” were heard often, once individuals were introduced to Vapur. In the future, we’re hoping to capture these reactions, because, in many cases, it’s an “Aha!” moment you don’t want to miss.
Jason Carginan, Co-founder of Vapur, was on Dwell’s Sunday Sustainability Speaker Panel, along with BMW Design Works’ Peter Falt, hosted by Opportunity Green. All in all, Dwell on Design was a great success. In fact, all of the Anti-Bottles in the Dwell store were sold out within the first day of the event, when they were supposed to last the entire weekend! We ordered more for the remaining two days, but, needless to say, we can’t wait for next year!
The Anti-Bottle drew interest from individuals throughout the design community at Dwell on Design this weekend. Making the big announcement of the Anti-Bottle Design Competition, we encourage Dwell-goers and those in graphic design to submit their ideas for a contest aimed at transforming the look of the Anti-Bottle. The competition launches July 12. For further information, follow this link or click on the tab that says, “Anti-Bottle Design Competition” at the top of the blog page. Keep your eyes open for the next blog post on Vapur’s success at Dwell, coming Monday! To see pictures of Vapur, our partner, Opportunity Green, as well as some of the other awesome exhibits Dwell had to offer, check out Vapur’s Facebook fan page.
Vapur is coming to the largest design event on the West Coast: Dwell on Design! The event will take place this weekend, Friday, June 25, to Sunday, June 27, at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
We will be located, along with our partner, Opportunity Green, in booth #207, so come by and check us out! Jason Carignan, Co-founder of Vapur, will be a guest on Dwell’s speaker panel on Sunday. We will also be making a special announcement over the weekend that you won’t want to miss.
Julie Moran– She was America’s Junior Miss (1980), a correspondent on Entertainment Tonight, the host of the Insider’s List, a television show on the Fine Living channel, and is now also a Vapur fan! Julie, an active mom and professional, has two daughters and loves her Anti-Bottle for its portability and convenience.
Julie was recently working out with her Anti-Bottle and celebrity exercise and health instructor, Kathy Kaehler, during one of Kathy’s Sunday Set-Ups. Sunday Set-Ups are used to get people in the routine of organizing and prepping food on Sundays, so their meals and snacks are all set for the week. Guests at Julie’s Sunday Set-Up included Julie’s husband, Rob Moran, and Larry Campbell. Both Moran and Campbell will be in the movie Hall Pass with Owen Wilson, coming out this summer.
We think it’s great that busy moms, like Julie, are using Vapur to make their lives a little easier.
Vapur enthusiast, Tom Isaacson, President of Envere Marine, shared a hilarious story with us about his wife, their horse and a Vapur Anti-bottle. We thought this story was so great we had to share it with the rest of the Vapur community.
My wife Diane had her Vapur Anti-Bottle with her while working around our latest foal – a filly named Viva, who will be year old in early August. Focused on barn clean-up, Diane lost track of the bottle for a couple of minutes and, like any youngster, curious Viva apparently felt it was her duty to explore this strange container that had appeared in her world.
Viva picked up Diane’s Vapur in her mouth and began chewing on it, while prancing around the stall, dropping it only when yelled at. Subsequently, stepping on it several times. Vapur came through this abuse just fine, with only a few scratches. Diane is still happily using her Vapur and Viva, well, she gives it curious looks whenever it’s nearby. I missed the photo op during all this, but it certainly proved the ruggedness of the Anti-Bottle.
Tom adds, “apparently, Vapur products are equine approved”.
Vapur and Envere Marine began their relationship in February 2010. Envere Marine is one of Vapur’s retailers, providing sales and distribution services for the (now, “horse-proof”) Anti-Bottle.

The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California’s Third Annual Spring Green Expo was in full swing on Thursday, June 10, in Los Angeles. Over 1,000 attendees and more than 40 green vendors, including Vapur, came out to support the eco-friendly expo. The Vapur team proudly displayed our colorful Anti-Bottles in the Metropolitan Water District’s courtyard, while expo participants flocked to check out all the innovative, products and services Spring Green had to offer.
The expo included vendor booths, no-cost seminars, and product demonstrations. Vapur added to the fun with a raffle! Ten lucky expo attendees, who dropped their business cards or information into a glass (water droplet-shaped) bowl, won free Anti-Bottles as raffle prizes. All in all, the Spring Green Expo was a smashing success. Vapur is looking forward to furthering their cooperation with the Metropolitan Water District, striving for their common goal: making clean, great tasting water easily available to people in an environmentally responsible way.
