Last night, Designers Braxton and Turya Nations of eponymous women’s apparel label Guy Baxter showcased their newest collection, Band Groupies, at the Herman Miller Showroom in the Culver City Arts District. Our friend, celebrity photographer, Mryiam Santos also showcased her personal work. Vapur was a proud sponsor of the event and provided attendees with a free Vapur 16 water bottle.
The event raised money for the “Rock School Scholarship Fund,” which provides instruments and scholarships for children who have a desire to learn and play rock music and whose parents need financial assistance. The Show Band from the Paul Green School of Rock Hollywood, whose student’s benefit from the scholarship fund, perform a few songs during the event.
While there, we all lusted after the amazing new office collection from Herman Miller.

The folks at GOOD Magazine recently posted this great video with enlightening thoughts about ways to save water every day. The video highlights how simple food and lifestyle choices impact our daily water footprint. We especially love the information graphics used — as always, the GOOD design team does an amazing job here! Have a watch and let us know you tips for saving water.
Since Vapur launched a few weeks ago, we’ve noticed that a few people haven’t yet discovered how to drink from their Vapur with only one hand, and without spilling. The best way is to grab and drink from your Vapur along the seams of the bottle, not from the front or back. This helps you avoid squeezing and squirting water out. It also ensures the bottle retains air inside which helps it stand upright, even when only partially full.
For an example of what can happen when you grab and hold the bottle incorrectly, you can watch our other video: How NOT to drink from your Vapur.
We recently received this great tip from Lee in California. Lee is a mom of two elementary kids who insist on taking their Vapur to school everyday. To keep the kids’ lunches cool throughout the day, she fills the Vapurs half-full with filtered water and freezes overnight. In the morning, she fills them to the top and sticks them in her kids’ lunch boxes. This serves to keep lunches cool and water ice-cold (but not frozen). Thanks for the tip Lee!
I spent the afternoon with Kathy Kaehler (@kathykaehler) and a group of bloggers from around the country in Hidden Hills, CA today learning how to prepare healthy, organic meals for a busy life. Kathy’s new Sunday Setup program is a huge hit and helping change the way people think about meal preparation.
Kathy has been a huge Vapur fan for several months and was kind enough to include us in her program. We’ve heard from a number of moms that they love to keep 6 – 8 Vapur bottles full in their refrigerators at all times so their kids can easily grab-and-go.
